His work is distinct to other Memphis pieces, with influences drawn from Art Deco and old Hollywood glamour. Named after the famous Plaza Hotel in New York, Graves’s design presents the profile of a characteristic Manhattan skyscraper, with small lights suggestive of a starry night.
