Pavoni Rug

Amini has developed three carpets with a definite Renaissance inspiration in collaboration with the historic Tessitura Luigi Bevilacqua, one of the few producers still present in Venice: Leoni Rampanti, Pavoni and Rinascimento. Hand knotted carpets with damask and brocade decorations depicting animals and floral motifs typical of the period. The use of double thickness wool and natural silk creates a chiaroscuro effects suggesting shifting shades and movement, and emphasizing traditional graphic forms. The carpets are hand washed, clipped and carved. The fringes are revolved on the backside and covered with cloth.
