Nilo Vase

Nilo Vase by Ettore Sottsass. Sottsass created this wonderful ornamental item in 1983, and it is made of porcelain. A pink element with a spherical shape and ridged mouth rests on top of a cylindrical base with a flared mouth. By combining this vase with the other two designs from the same series that honor the Euphrates and Tigris, two enormous rivers that served as the cradles of ancient civilizations, the result is lovely and eye-catching.
