Superonda Stripes Sofa

My version of the Superonda is similar to the one made the night before the "Superarchitettura" exhibition. It was hammered together by Paolo Deganello until three in the morning. On the floor directly beneath our studio in Villa Strozzi slept the building's owner, Countess Gambinossi. At first, we were careful not to make any noise, so as not to wake her, but in the end... Deganello swung his hammer without restraint at this Superonda, which had become a sort of drum. It was made from wood and painted by hand in wide, brightly-colored stripes. And while we drove to the exhibition in Pistoia with the Superonda... at a certain point we were overtaken by a small truck, of which a period sofa fell onto the road.. an omen perhaps?
